How do I set up my FOUNDRY server?

Which FOUNDRY hosting plan should I choose?
We offer three FOUNDRY hosting plans built around the game's real player caps and factory scaling. Our 6 GB plan supports up to 4 players - perfect for a solo or friends factory (which is FOUNDRY's optimal 2-4 player experience per the devs). Our 8 GB plan (recommended) supports up to 8 players and is the sweet spot for medium factory groups with headroom for large conveyor networks. Our 12 GB plan supports up to 16 players for a full community megabase with plenty of headroom. Every plan includes DDoS protection, automatic backups, and 24/7 support.
How much RAM does a FOUNDRY server need?
FOUNDRY's dedicated server has a ~5-6 GB baseline and grows with factory complexity - more conveyors, more machines, more voxel edits all push RAM up. We recommend 6 GB for a 4-player friends factory, 8 GB for an 8-player factory group (our recommended pick), and 12 GB for a full 16-player megabase. If you plan to run heavy mods or push toward the 32-player configurable cap, choose 16 GB or higher.
Can I run more than 16 players on a FOUNDRY server?
Yes - FOUNDRY defaults to a 16-player cap but you can raise this to 32 players by editing the server_max_players value in serverconfig.cfg. Our control panel and full SFTP access make that change trivial. Note that Channel 3 Entertainment recommend 2-4 players as the optimal experience; big-community servers benefit from higher-tier plans and heavy CPU headroom.
Is FOUNDRY like Satisfactory or Factorio?
Yes - FOUNDRY sits squarely in the factory-automation genre alongside Satisfactory and Factorio, but with a first-person, fully-editable voxel world that lets you dig, terraform, and build inside your factories. If you've enjoyed conveyor-based automation games, FOUNDRY will feel immediately familiar - just with a lot more freedom to shape the terrain around your machines.
Do I need a fast CPU?
Yes - FOUNDRY's conveyor physics and voxel systems get CPU-heavy as your factory scales. Our infrastructure runs high-clock CPUs specifically so late-game factories with thousands of conveyors and machines stay smooth. If you plan a massive megabase, choose a higher-tier plan for the CPU headroom.
Can I install mods on my FOUNDRY server?
