By default, scientists spawn into the GATE facility empty-handed and must craft their first weapons from office supplies. Configure a starting weapon to give new players a head start on survival.
Configuring Starting Weapons
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Abiotic Factor Sandbox Settings.

- Locate the First Time Starting Weapon option and set your desired value.

- Click Save and Start your server.
Starting Weapon Options

| Shiv | Small improvised knife - quick attacks, low damage |
| Desk Leg | Makeshift club - slow but decent damage |
| Kitchen Knife | Better blade - balanced option |
| Starter Baton | Basic baton - good reach |
| Pipe Club | Heavy pipe weapon - high damage, slow swing |
| Random | Random weapon from the options above |
Tips
- "None" provides the authentic early-game survival experience
- A starting weapon helps new players survive their first encounters
- "Random" adds variety for repeat playthroughs
- The starting weapon is only given on first spawn - deaths don't grant new weapons
Your starting weapon settings are now configured. New scientists entering the GATE facility will now be equipped according to your preferences.
