How to Kick and Ban Players on Your ARK Server

As an admin, you can kick players to temporarily remove them or ban players to permanently prevent them from rejoining. Both actions require admin privileges.

Kicking a Player

Kicking removes a player from the server immediately, but they can rejoin.

1. Press Tab to open the console.
2. Type cheat kickplayer <SteamID> and press Enter.

Banning a Player

Banning permanently prevents a player from joining until unbanned.

1. Press Tab to open the console.
2. Type cheat banplayer <SteamID> and press Enter.

Unbanning a Player

To remove a ban and allow a player to rejoin:

1. Press Tab to open the console.
2. Type cheat unbanplayer <SteamID> and press Enter.

Finding a Player's Steam ID

You can find player Steam IDs using the admin manager:

1. Type showmyadminmanager in the console
2. Look at the connected players list
3. Each player's Steam ID will be displayed
