How to Update Your Necesse Server

Enable automatic updates to keep your server running the latest version with new content and bug fixes.

Necesse receives regular updates with new features, balance changes, and bug fixes. Enabling automatic updates ensures your server stays current without manual intervention, keeping you compatible with players running the latest game version.

Players must be running the same game version as your server to connect. After an update, ask your players to update their game through Steam.

Enabling Automatic Updates

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab.
Locate and enable the Automatic Updates toggle.
Click the Start button to start your server.

Your server will now automatically check for and install updates when it starts.

What Gets Updated

When an update is installed, only the server files are replaced—your world saves, configuration settings, and player data are preserved. You won't lose any progress.

Your server will automatically update to the latest Necesse version on each restart.
