How to Join Your tModLoader Server

Connect to your Terraria tModLoader server using the in-game multiplayer menu with your server's IP address and port.

Once your tModLoader server is running, you can connect from your Terraria client using the Join via IP option. This guide walks you through connecting to your server and joining with your character.

Make sure you have the same mods installed on your client as the server. Mismatched mods will prevent you from connecting.

Joining Your Server

Launch tModLoader and click Multiplayer on the main menu.
Click Join via IP.
Select the character you want to join with.
Enter your server's IP address and click Accept.
Enter your server's port (default is 7777) and click Accept.
Enter the server password if required.

Finding Your Server IP

Your server's IP address and port can be found in the Wabbanode Control Panel on your server's main page.

You're now connected and ready to play Terraria with friends on your tModLoader server.
