How to Set a Server Password on Your Windrose Server

Protect your Windrose server with a password and enable password protection to restrict access.

Setting a server password restricts access to only players who know the password. Windrose requires both a password to be set and the Password Protected toggle to be enabled for password protection to take effect.

Both the Server Password and the Password Protected toggle must be configured together. Setting a password without enabling the toggle will not protect your server, and enabling the toggle without a password will not work.

Enabling Password Protection

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Wabbanode control panel with stop button

  3. Locate Server Password and enter your desired password. Server Password field in Windrose Server Settings

  5. Click Save and Start your server.

Removing Password Protection

To make your server public again:

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Server Settings.
  3. Toggle Password Protected to Off.
  4. Clear the Server Password field.
  5. Click Save and Start your server.

Your Windrose server is now password protected. Only players with the correct password can join.
