How to Enable or Disable Automatic Updates on Your ARK Server

Configure automatic updates to keep your ARK: Survival Evolved server current with the latest game patches.

Automatic updates ensure your ARK server stays current with the latest patches, bug fixes, and content updates. When enabled, the server will check for and apply updates on each restart.

Updates are applied when the server restarts. The server will take longer to start if an update is being downloaded.

Enabling Automatic Updates

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab and select ARK:SE Server Settings.
Locate Automatic Updates and enable the toggle.
Click Save and Start your server.

Version Compatibility

Keep in mind that players must also update their game to match the server version. After a server update, players may need to restart their Steam client to receive the matching update.

Your server will now automatically check for and install updates on restart.
