How to Use Steam Beta Branches on Your ARK Server

Switch to Steam beta branches to test new ARK: Survival Evolved features or access specific game versions.

Steam beta branches allow you to run different versions of ARK on your server. This is useful for testing upcoming features or reverting to previous versions if needed.

Beta branches may be unstable and contain bugs. All players must be on the same beta branch to connect to your server.

Using a Beta Branch

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab and select ARK:SE Server Settings.
Locate Steam Beta and enter the beta branch name.
Click Save and Start your server.

Leave the Steam Beta field empty to use the public release version.

Player Configuration

Players must also switch to the same beta branch in their Steam client:

Right-click ARK in Steam Library
Select Properties > Betas
Choose the matching beta branch

Your server will now run the specified Steam beta branch version.
