Once your Arma 3 server is running, you can connect through the in-game server browser or direct connect to begin your military simulation experience.
You will need to know your server name to find it in the server browser, or your server's IP address for direct connect. Players must have the same mods installed as the server to connect.
Finding Your Server Address
To use Direct Connect, you'll need your server's IP address and port.
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Arma 3 server.
- Find the Server Address in the sidebar on the left side of the panel.

Your server address includes both the IP and port (e.g., 123.456.78.90:2302). The default port for Arma 3 is 2302.
Joining via Server Browser
- Launch Arma 3 from Steam and click Multiplayer from the main menu.

- Select Server Browser to view available servers.

- Use the filter options to search for your server by name in the Host field.

- Select your server from the list and click Join.

Using Direct Connect
- Launch Arma 3 from Steam and click Multiplayer from the main menu.

- Select Server Browser to view available servers.

- Select the Direct Connect tab.

- Enter your server's IP address and port.

- Click Join to join your server.
Adding to Steam Favorites
You can also add your server to Steam's server browser:
- In Steam, go to View > Servers.
- Click Add A Server.
- Enter your server's IP address and port.
- Click Add this address to favorites.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot connect to your server:
- Mod mismatch - Ensure you have the same mods installed as the server. Use the Arma 3 Launcher to manage mods.
- Check the server is running - Verify your server shows as "Online" in the control panel
- Verify the password - Passwords are case-sensitive
- Port issues - Arma 3 uses ports 2302 and 2303 by default
You're now connected to your Arma 3 server. Coordinate with your squad and prepare for tactical operations across Altis, Stratis, or any of the available terrains.
