As Palworld is still in early access, server owners occasionally encounter issues. Below are some of the most reported problems and steps you can take to mitigate them.
Palworld Server Lag and Memory Leaks
Palworld servers may experience lag due to memory leaks or high CPU usage. To reduce lag:
- Restart regularly: Schedule automatic restarts every 2 to 3 hours via Wabbanode’s scheduled tasks. Frequent restarts release memory and keep performance stable.
- Upgrade server resources: If your server consistently uses all available RAM or CPU, consider upgrading to a higher‑tier plan.
- Contact support: If lag persists, reach out to Wabbanode support. They can investigate hardware performance and offer advice.
Server Not Appearing on the Server List
The in‑game community list displays a limited number of servers and lacks robust filtering. Your server may not appear even when running properly. Instead of relying on the list, use direct connect:
- Share your server’s IP address and port with players.
- Follow our How to Join Your Palworld Server guide to connect directly.
Connecting to Password‑Protected Servers
If players are being disconnected with a message like “No password has been entered,” remind them to tick the Enter password checkbox before connecting and enter the password exactly as set in the Settings tab.
Character Data Wipes When Uploading Worlds
When you upload a local world to your server, the host player’s character data is wiped. To minimise loss:
- Before transferring, log into the world as the host and place important items, pals and equipment into storage chests.
- After uploading, the host will need to create a new character but can retrieve their stored items.
Staying Informed
Keep an eye on official Palworld announcements and the Wabbanode status page for updates. Early access games receive frequent patches that may address these issues over time.
By understanding common problems and their workarounds you can keep your Palworld server running smoothly and minimise frustration for your players.
