Display name settings control what information appears above players' heads. You can show usernames, character names, or hide names entirely.
When names are hidden, players must use voice chat or text to identify each other. This can create interesting gameplay but may be confusing for casual players.
Display Name Settings

|---|---|---|
| Display Username | true | Show player usernames above characters |

Configuring Display Names
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Project Zomboid Server Settings.

- Locate the Display Username setting and configure as needed.

- Click Save and Start your server.

Identification Alternatives
If you hide names, players can still identify each other through:
- Voice chat proximity
- Character appearance and clothing
- In-game radio communication
- Faction membership (if enabled)
Display name settings are configured. Player names will appear according to your preferences.
