How to Change the Server Description on Your Project Zomboid Server

Add a detailed description for your server in the browser.

The server description provides additional details about your server in the public browser. Use it to share rules, features, or community information.

Your server must have Public Server enabled to appear in the in-game browser. The description is displayed alongside your server name.

Changing the Server Description

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab and select Project Zomboid World Settings.
Locate the Server Description setting and enter your description.
Click Save and Start your server.

Formatting Tips

You can add line breaks to your description using \n:

Welcome to our server!\nPVP Enabled\nActive community

This displays as:

Welcome to our server!
PVP Enabled
Active community

What to Include

Good server descriptions include:

Server type (PVP, PVE, RP, etc.)
Key settings (difficulty, mods, etc.)
Community links (Discord, website)
Region or timezone
Special rules or features
