When Global Chat is disabled:
- Players can only use proximity-based chat
- More immersive survival experience
- Players must use radios for long-distance communication
Customizing Chat Streams
To limit available chat channels, modify the Chat Streams setting:
Roleplay (Local Only)
s,w,r,f
Only say, whisper, radio, and faction chat.
Full Communication
s,r,a,w,y,sh,f,all
All channels available (default).
Minimal
s,w
Only local say and whisper.
The admin channel (a) is always available to administrators regardless of the Chat Streams setting.
In-Game Radio
Even without global chat, players can communicate over long distances using:
- Ham radios
- Walkie-talkies
- Car radios
Radio communication requires finding and maintaining radio equipment, adding to the survival gameplay.
Chat settings are configured. Players can now communicate through the channels you've enabled.
