The world seed determines how your Rust map is generated, including the placement of monuments, terrain features, and resources. Changing the seed will create an entirely new map layout.
Changing the world seed requires a map wipe to take effect. All player buildings and progress will be lost. See How to Wipe Your Rust Server for instructions.
Changing the World Seed
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab.

- Locate the World Seed field and enter your desired seed.

- Click Save and Start your server.
You can use any number as a seed. The same seed with the same world size will always generate the same map layout, making it easy to share maps with other server owners.
Your Rust server now has a new world seed configured. Remember to wipe your server for the new seed to generate a fresh map.
