Satisfactory offers several auto-save options to protect your progress. You can configure how often the server saves automatically and whether it saves when players disconnect.
Satisfactory servers do NOT auto-save when manually stopped. Always save your game before stopping the server to prevent data loss.
Configuring Auto-Save via Server Manager
- Launch Satisfactory and open the Server Manager from the main menu.

- Select your server and click the Server Settings tab.

- Configure the following settings:
Autosave Interval
Sets how often the server automatically saves (in minutes).

| Interval | Use Case |
|---|---|
| 5 minutes | Frequent saves, minimal progress loss |
| 10 minutes | Balanced (default) |
| 15-30 minutes | Less frequent, less disk activity |
Auto-Save on Player Disconnect
When enabled, the server saves whenever a player disconnects.

Using Console Commands
You can also set the autosave interval via console command:
FG.AutosaveInterval 300
The value is in seconds (300 = 5 minutes).
To use console commands:
- Go to the Console tab in Server Manager.
- Enter the command and press Enter.
Backup Rotation
By default, Satisfactory keeps 3 rotating autosaves. See How to Change the Autosave Backup Count to increase this.
Auto-save settings are configured. Your server will automatically save your progress at the specified intervals.
