Satisfactory offers an Experimental branch that provides early access to new features, content, and updates before they reach the stable release. You can configure your server to run the Experimental version.
The Experimental branch may contain bugs and stability issues. All players connecting to an Experimental server must also be running the Experimental version of Satisfactory.
Enabling Experimental Mode
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Satisfactory Server Settings.

- Locate the Experimental setting and enable the toggle.

- Click Save and Start your server.
The server will download and install the Experimental version on the next startup.
Switching Your Client to Experimental
All players must run the matching version. To switch your game client:
Steam
- Right-click Satisfactory in your Steam library.
- Select Properties > Betas.
- Choose experimental from the dropdown.
- Wait for the update to download.
Epic Games
- Open the Epic Games Launcher.
- Click the three dots next to Satisfactory.
- Select Options > Experimental.
Stable vs Experimental
| Branch | Description |
|---|---|
| Stable | Thoroughly tested, recommended for most players |
| Experimental | Latest features, may have bugs, updates more frequently |
Save files are generally compatible between branches, but it's recommended to backup your saves before switching. Some Experimental features may not work correctly when returning to Stable.
Experimental mode is enabled. Your server will now run the latest Experimental version of Satisfactory.
