The Manage Saves feature in Satisfactory's Server Manager allows you to load different saves, switch between game sessions, and clean up old data.
Understanding Sessions vs Saves
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| Session (Game) | A game world with its own name, settings, and history |
| Save | A snapshot of a session at a specific point in time |
| Autosave | Automatic saves created at regular intervals |
A single session can have multiple saves, including autosaves and manual saves.
Accessing Manage Saves
- Launch Satisfactory and open the Server Manager from the main menu.

- Select your server from the list and click the Manage Saves tab.

- Authenticate as admin if prompted.
Loading a Save
To switch to a different save or revert to an earlier autosave:
- Click Load Save and select the Session from the left panel.

- Select the specific Save from the right panel.

- Click Load Game in the bottom right.
The server will load the selected save and players can connect.
Deleting a Session
To remove an old or unwanted game session:
- Go to Manage Saves (any sub-tab works).

- Select the Session you want to delete from the list.
- Click Delete Session at the bottom.

- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a session removes ALL saves for that session permanently. This cannot be undone.
Managing Multiple Sessions
You can have multiple game sessions on the same server:
- Each session is a separate world
- Only one session can be active at a time
- Use Load Save to switch between sessions
- Set Auto-Load Session to choose which loads on startup
Autosave Management
Autosaves are automatically created and rotated:
- Default: 3 rotating autosaves per session
- Oldest autosave is deleted when a new one is created
- See How to Change the Autosave Backup Count to keep more
You now know how to manage saves and sessions on your Satisfactory server.
