The Auto-Load Session setting determines which game session (save) your server automatically loads when it starts. This ensures players always connect to the correct game world.
If no auto-load session is set, the server starts without loading any game. Players would need to manually load a save via the Server Manager.
Configuring Auto-Load Session
- Launch Satisfactory and open the Server Manager from the main menu.

- Select your server and click the Server Settings tab.

- Locate the Auto-Load Session Name field and select the session you want to auto-load using the dropdown.

- Click Apply to save.
Understanding Sessions vs Saves
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| Session | A game world with its own name (can have multiple saves) |
| Save | A snapshot of a session at a point in time |
| Autosave | Automatic saves created at regular intervals |
When you set an auto-load session, the server loads the most recent save from that session.
Finding Your Session Name
- Go to the Manage Saves tab in Server Manager.
- Look at the session names listed on the left side.
- Use that exact name for the auto-load setting.
Why Use Auto-Load Session
- Convenience: Server automatically loads your game on restart
- Reliability: No need to manually load saves after server restarts
- Multi-session: If you have multiple game worlds, ensures the right one loads
Auto-Load Session is configured. Your server will automatically load the specified session on startup.
