Whether you’re hosting a cooperative PvE world or a competitive survival arena, configuring PvP damage is an important part of server setup. This tutorial shows you how to toggle player‑versus‑player combat and friendly fire through the Wabbanode Control Panel without editing configuration files.

PvP and Friendly Fire Explained
PvP (Player vs Player) controls whether players can damage each other. Friendly fire is a related setting that determines if shots, explosions or melee attacks harm allies. Disabling both prevents accidental kills during cooperative play, while enabling them adds risk and excitement for competitive servers.
Configuring PvP Settings
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Locate the following options:
- PvP Enabled allows players to attack one another.
- Friendly Fire enables damage between party members or allies.
- Claim Protection prevents damage within claimed land.
- Set these options to Enabled or Disabled according to your desired experience. For a purely cooperative world, disable both PvP and friendly fire. For a PvP server, enable them but consider enabling land claim protection to safeguard bases.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
- Start your server. The new PvP rules will apply immediately when players reconnect.
By adjusting the PvP and friendly fire settings, you can cultivate a peaceful cooperative environment or an intense competitive battlefield. Use these controls to tailor gameplay to your community.
