How to Get a Dedicated IP for Your Minecraft Server

Learn how to get a dedicated port for your Minecraft server so players can connect without specifying a port number.

By default, Wabbanode servers are assigned a shared IP with a random port number. A dedicated port gives your server the default game port (e.g., 25565 for Minecraft), so players can connect using just your server's IP address without needing to enter a port number.

Enabling a Dedicated Port

Log in to the Wabbanode Billing Area and click Services.
Select the service you want to modify.
Click Upgrade/Downgrade Options.
Select Yes from the Dedicated Port dropdown and click Continue.

Once enabled, players can connect to your server using just the IP address without needing to add a port number.
