How to Configure Message of the Day on Your Arma 3 Server

The Message of the Day (MOTD) displays welcome messages, server rules, or announcements to players when they join your server. Messages cycle through at a configurable interval.

Configuring MOTD

1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
2. Click the Settings tab and select Arma 3 Server.cfg.
3. Locate the MOTD settings and make any desired chages.
4. Click Save and Start your server.

Add these lines to your server.cfg:

Settings Explained

Tips

• Keep messages concise and readable
• Include important information like Discord links, rules, or announcements
• Set motdInterval to a reasonable value (5-10 seconds) so messages aren't too frequent
• You can include as many message lines as needed
