Command blocks are powerful tools in Minecraft that allow you to automate tasks, create custom game mechanics, and build complex map features. By default, command blocks are disabled on servers for security reasons. This guide shows you how to enable command blocks using the Wabbanode Control Panel.
Enabling Command Blocks
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Minecraft server.
- Stop your server if it is currently running. You cannot modify server settings while the server is online.

- Click Settings to access your server properties.

- Scroll down to locate the Enable-command-block option and set it to true.

- Click Save Config at the top of the page to apply your changes.

- Start your server.
Once your server restarts, command blocks will be enabled and can be used by players with operator permissions.
Troubleshooting
- Changes not taking effect. Ensure you clicked Save Config and restarted your server. Command blocks will not work until the server has been restarted with the setting enabled.
- Cannot place command blocks. Verify that you have operator permissions. Use
/op <playername>in the console to grant OP status. - Command block not executing. Check that the command is entered correctly (without the
/prefix) and that the block is receiving redstone power or set to "Always Active" if appropriate. - Server lagging after enabling. Too many repeat command blocks running simultaneously can cause lag. Reduce the number of active command blocks or optimize your commands.
Enabling command blocks on your Minecraft server unlocks powerful automation and customization options for map makers, server administrators, and creative builders. Make sure only trusted operators have access to command blocks to maintain server security and performance.
