How to Install Folia on Your Minecraft Server

Learn how to install Folia on your Minecraft server for multi-threaded performance improvements.

Folia is a Paper fork that distributes server ticks across multiple threads for improved performance on multi-core CPUs. It is designed for large servers with many players spread across different areas of the world.

Folia is not compatible with most Paper and Spigot plugins. Only plugins specifically designed for Folia will work. Check plugin compatibility before installing.

Installing Folia

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Select Change Version on the left.
Locate Folia and click Select Version.
Select the version and build you wish to install.
Enable the Wipe server before installing toggle for a fresh install to avoid any conflicts.
Click Install, the installation should only take a few seconds.

Folia has been installed on your server. Make sure any plugins you install are Folia-compatible, as standard Paper and Spigot plugins will not work.
