Your server icon appears as a small image next to your server name when players browse their server list. This guide shows you how to create and upload a custom server icon using the Wabbanode Control Panel.
Preparing Your Server Icon
Before uploading, you need to create a server icon that meets Minecraft's requirements:
- File format: PNG (.png)
- Dimensions: Exactly 64×64 pixels
- File name: Must be named exactly
server-icon.png(case-sensitive) - File size: Keep the file size small (under 100KB recommended) for faster loading
Make sure to resize your image to exactly 64×64 pixels and save it as server-icon.png.
Uploading Your Server Icon
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Minecraft server.
- Stop your server if it is currently running.

- Click Files to access the file manager.

- Make sure you are in the root directory (the main folder, not inside any subfolders).
- Click the Upload Files button.

- Select your
server-icon.pngfile from your computer. - Wait for the upload to complete. The file should appear in your file list.
- Start your server to apply the new icon.
Once your server restarts, the custom icon will appear in the Minecraft multiplayer server list. Players may need to refresh their server list or restart Minecraft to see the new icon.
Troubleshooting
- Icon not appearing. Verify that the file is named exactly
server-icon.png(lowercase, with hyphen) and is located in the root directory, not in a subfolder. - Icon appears blurry or distorted. Ensure your image is exactly 64×64 pixels. Larger or smaller images may not display correctly.
- Upload failed. Check that your file is in PNG format and under 5MB. Some browsers may have upload size limits.
- Old icon still showing. Minecraft clients cache server icons. Players may need to remove and re-add your server from their list, or restart Minecraft to see the updated icon.
Setting a custom server icon gives your Minecraft server a unique identity in the multiplayer server list. Create a 64×64 pixel PNG image, name it server-icon.png, and upload it to your server's root directory for instant branding.
