Pausing your Necesse server when empty stops the world from progressing while no players are connected. This prevents time from advancing, crops from growing, and events from occurring when nobody is around to participate.
Enabling Pause When Empty
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Files tab.

- Navigate to the
cfgfolder.
- Click on
server.cfgto open it.
- Locate the
pauseWhenEmptysetting and set it totrue.
- Click Save and Start your server.
What Gets Paused
When enabled and no players are connected:
- World time stops advancing
- Crops and plants stop growing
- Settlers stop working and consuming resources
- Raids and events won't trigger
- Mob spawning pauses
The world resumes normal activity the moment a player connects.
When to Use This
Pause when empty is useful when:
- You want to preserve in-game time for scheduled events
- You don't want crops to over-grow or rot while offline
- You want to prevent raids from happening without players present
- You're running a smaller server where someone isn't always online
Your server will now freeze the world when all players disconnect and resume when someone joins.
