Skyrim Together Reborn features a custom death system designed for multiplayer. Instead of reloading saves (which breaks synchronization), players respawn automatically with optional penalties.
Only disable the death system if you have a suitable replacement death mod installed. Without a death system, players will need to reload saves, which causes synchronization issues and breaks quest progression.
When a player dies:
| Location | Respawn Point |
|---|---|
| Outdoors | Nearby the death location (similar to GTA Online) |
| Indoors/Dungeons | At the dungeon or interior entrance |
Additional effects on death:
- All crime bounties are automatically cleared
- Gold is lost based on the Gold Loss Factor setting
- Lost gold is dropped as a lootable item (not deleted)
Configuring the Death System
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Skyrim Together STServer.ini.

- Locate the Enable Death System setting and set it to your preference.

- Enabled: Custom respawn system active
- Disabled: Death system disabled
- Click Save and Start your server.
Gold Loss Factor
The Gold Loss Factor determines how much gold a player loses when they die.
Configuring Gold Loss
- Navigate to Settings > Skyrim Together STServer.ini.
- Locate the Gold Loss Factor setting.
- Enter a value between 0 and 1:
| Value | Gold Lost |
|---|---|
| 0 | 0% (no gold penalty) |
| 0.05 | 5% |
| 0.10 | 10% |
| 0.25 | 25% |
| 0.50 | 50% |
| 1 | 100% (lose all gold) |
- Click Save and restart your server.
Gold lost on death is dropped as a lootable item at the death location, not permanently deleted. Players can return to retrieve their gold if desired.
Your death system is now configured. Players will respawn according to your settings when they die.
