Admins have access to server management commands that allow them to kick and ban players, save the game, and control various server settings in real-time.
Prerequisites
Before you can become an admin, you need to set an admin password in the control panel. See How to Set the Admin Password for instructions.
Joining as Admin
- Launch The Forest from Steam and click Multiplayer from the main menu.

- Click Join Game.

- Select Dedicated (Internet) from the server type filter.

- Use the search bar to find your server by name or scroll through the list.

You must enter the admin password before joining. You cannot gain admin privileges after you've already connected to the server.
