How to Change the Name of Your Valheim Server

Learn how to change your Valheim server's display name in the server browser.

The server name is what players see when browsing for servers on the in-game community list or viewing your server in their server list. You can change it to something memorable or descriptive for your community.

Changing the Server Name

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Stopping a Wabbanode server
  2. Click the Settings tab. Opening the Settings tab on Wabbanode panel
  3. Locate the Server Name field and enter your desired name. Changing the server name on a Valheim server
  4. Click Save and Start your server.

Your server will now display the new name in the server browser and when players connect.

The server name is separate from the world name. Changing the server name does not affect your world or save data.

Your Valheim server now has a new display name. Players will see this name when browsing servers or viewing your server in their favorites list.
