By default, Valheim's developer commands (cheats) only work in singleplayer or when hosting a world locally. To use commands like god, ghost, spawn, and fly on a dedicated server, you need to install the Server Devcommands mod.
Requirements
To enable dev commands on your server, you'll need:
- BepInEx installed on your server: How to Install BepInEx on Your Valheim Server
- BepInEx and r2modman installed on your client: How to Install BepInEx on Your Valheim Client
- Admin privileges on the server: How to Add an Admin to Your Valheim Server
- Console enabled on your client: How to Enable the Console in Valheim
Installing the Server Devcommands Mod
- Open r2modman on your PC and select your Valheim profile.
- Click the Online tab in the left sidebar.

- Search for Server_devcommands by JereKuusela.

- Click Download and then Download with dependencies.

- Upload the mod to your server following our guide on How to Install BepInEx Mods on Your Valheim Server.
The mod must be installed on both your client and the server for full functionality. Some commands like event and stopevent require server-side installation.
Using Dev Commands
Once the mod is installed and you're logged in as an admin, dev commands are automatically enabled. Press F5 to open the console and enter any command.
Unlike vanilla Valheim, you don't need to type devcommands first, the mod enables them automatically when it detects admin privileges.

- Enhanced modes - God mode removes stamina usage and knockback, ghost mode hides you from other players
- Auto-enable options - Configure modes to activate automatically when you log in
