How to Enable Crossplay for Your Valheim Server

Learn how to enable crossplay so PC and Xbox players can play together on your Valheim server.

Valheim supports crossplay between PC (Steam) and Xbox players. With crossplay enabled, friends on different platforms can join the same server and play together.

Crossplay servers cannot use BepInEx mods. If you need mods on your server, you'll need to disable crossplay and play with PC players only.

Enabling Crossplay

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Stopping a Wabbanode server

  3. Locate the Crossplay toggle and enable it. Enabling crossplay on a Valheim server
  4. Click Save and Start your server.

Your server now accepts connections from both PC and Xbox players.

Xbox players connect through the in-game server browser or by entering the server's join code. They cannot connect using a direct IP address like PC players can.

Disabling Crossplay

If you want to restrict your server to PC players only:

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Stopping a Wabbanode server

  4. Click Save and Start your server.

Crossplay is now configured on your Valheim server. PC and Xbox players can adventure together when crossplay is enabled.
