All VEIN Server Console Commands

Complete guide to using console commands and the admin panel on your VEIN server.

VEIN provides multiple ways to manage your server: the in-game admin panel and the developer console. This guide covers both systems.

You must be set as an Admin or SuperAdmin to access these features. See How to Add Admins for setup instructions.

Accessing Admin Tools

Admin Panel

Press the backslash \ key to open the admin panel. You may need to press it twice.

Developer Console

Press the tilde ~ key to open the console for text commands.

Admin Panel Tabs

Self Tab

Personal admin buffs and abilities:

  • God Mode: Become invincible to all damage
  • Invisibility: Zombies and players cannot detect you
  • Flying: Move freely through the air
  • Heal: Instantly restore health

Target Tab

Context-sensitive options for what you're looking at:

  • Unlock Door: Open any locked door
  • Give Key For Lock: Spawn a key for the targeted door or vehicle
  • Transform: Modify or move objects
  • Analyze: View coordinates and object data

World Tab

Server-wide environment controls:

  • Set Weather: Change weather conditions
  • Set Time: Adjust time of day
  • Remove Zombies: Clear all zombies from the area
  • Remove Animals: Clear all animals from the area

Server Tab

Server management tools:

  • Resource Info: View CPU, RAM, and network usage
  • Broadcast: Send a message to all players
  • Force Save: Immediately save the server

Config Tab

Live configuration changes:

  • Modify multipliers and toggles
  • Changes take effect immediately

Config changes made here don't persist after restart. Update the actual configuration files for permanent changes.

Items Tab

Spawn any item:

  • Search items by name
  • Set quantity before spawning
  • Items appear in your inventory

Vehicles Tab

Spawn vehicles:

  • Select any vehicle type
  • Vehicles spawn at your location
  • Includes fuel

Players Tab

Player management:

  • Kick: Remove player temporarily
  • Ban: Remove player permanently
  • Teleport To: Go to player's location
  • Teleport Here: Bring player to you
  • Give XP: Award experience points
  • Zombie Event: Trigger zombie attack on player
  • Mute: Prevent player from using voice chat

Reports Tab

View player-submitted reports about suspicious behavior or issues.

Bans Tab

Manage banned players:

  • View ban list with SteamIDs
  • Unban players as needed

Open the console with ~ and type these commands:

Tips for Admins

  • Keep noisy generators away from bases to reduce zombie attraction
  • Use the Target tab while looking at doors to quickly spawn keys
  • Schedule regular server restarts to maintain performance
  • Use Broadcast to communicate events or rules to all players
