How to Use Steam Beta Branches on Your VEIN Server

Switch to Steam beta branches to test new VEIN features before public release.

Steam beta branches allow you to run pre-release versions of VEIN on your server. This is useful for testing new features or participating in beta testing programs.

Beta versions may be unstable. Only use beta branches if you understand the risks and want to test new features before they're officially released.

Switching to a Beta Branch

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab and select VEIN Server Settings.
Locate Steam Beta and enter the beta branch name (leave empty for the public release).
If the beta branch requires a password, enter it in the Steam Beta Password field.
Click Save and Start your server.

Players must also switch to the same beta branch on their Steam client to connect to your server. They can do this by right-clicking VEIN in their Steam library, selecting Properties > Betas, and choosing the same branch.

Your server will now run the specified beta branch version of VEIN.
