How to Remove the XP Death Penalty on your 7 Days to Die Server

By default, players lose a percentage of their experience when they die in 7 Days to Die. This mechanic adds risk but can be frustrating for casual servers. This guide explains how to adjust the XP death penalty via the Wabbanode Control Panel or by installing a small mod when the setting isn’t available.

Removing the Penalty Via Community Mod

The easiest way to remove the death penalty is to remove the No XP Penalty on Death Mod.

1. Download the No XP Penalty on Death Mod mod.
2. Follow our instructions in How to Install Mods on Your 7 Days to Die Server to upload the mod into your Mods folder.
3. Start your server. The mod will override the default behaviour and prevent XP loss on death.
