The max players setting controls how many players can be connected to your Minecraft server at the same time. By default, this is set to 20. You may want to increase it for larger communities or decrease it to limit access on smaller servers.
Increasing max players beyond what your server's RAM can handle will cause lag and TPS drops. If you notice performance issues after increasing the player count, consider upgrading your server plan or reducing the view and simulation distance.
Changing the Max Players
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click Settings to access your server properties.

- Locate the Max Players field and enter your desired value.

- Click Save at the top of the page to apply your changes.

- Start your server to load the new configuration.
Troubleshooting
- Players cannot join even though slots are available. Check if a whitelist is enabled or if the player has been banned.
- Changes not taking effect. Ensure you clicked Save Config and restarted the server. The max players setting only applies after a restart.
- Server lagging with more players. More players require more RAM and CPU. Consider reducing view distance, simulation distance, or upgrading your server plan.
Changing the max player count on your Minecraft server is a quick adjustment in the Wabbanode Panel settings. Just remember to ensure your server has enough RAM to support the number of players you allow.
