How to Reset the Nether on Your Minecraft Server

Learn how to reset the Nether dimension on your Minecraft server without affecting your overworld or End.

Resetting the Nether regenerates all Nether terrain without affecting your overworld or End. This is useful after major Minecraft updates that add new Nether content, or if you simply want a fresh Nether for your players to explore.

This action is irreversible! Resetting the Nether will permanently delete all builds, chests, and progress in the Nether dimension. Make sure to create a backup before proceeding.

Resetting the Nether

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Open Files and locate the Nether folder. The folder name depends on your server type:
- Paper / Spigot: world_nether (in the root directory)
- Vanilla / Forge: world/DIM-1 (inside your world folder)
Select the folder and click Delete, then confirm the deletion.
Start your server. The Nether will automatically regenerate the next time a player enters a Nether portal.
