How to Configure PVP on Your Project Zomboid Server

Enable or disable player vs player combat on your server.

PVP (Player vs Player) allows players to attack and kill each other. Disabling PVP creates a purely cooperative survival experience, while enabling it adds tension and competition.

Damage Modifiers

PVP Melee Damage Modifier

Controls how much damage melee weapons deal in PVP:

  • 30 (Default): Reduced melee damage
  • 100: Full damage like PVE
  • 200+: Increased damage, faster kills

PVP Firearm Damage Modifier

Controls how much damage ranged weapons deal in PVP:

  • 50 (Default): Reduced firearm damage
  • 100: Full damage like PVE
  • 200+: Very lethal gunfights

Lower damage modifiers create longer PVP fights, giving players more time to escape or call for help.

Player Bump Player

When enabled, players can bump and knock over other players when running through them. This can be used aggressively even on PVE servers.

Sneak Mode Hide From Other Players

When enabled, sneaking players are hidden from other players' view.
