How to Change the Description of Your Rust Server

Learn how to set a custom description for your Rust server that appears in the server browser.

The server description appears below your server name in the server browser. Use it to share your server's rules, Discord link, wipe schedule, or what makes your server unique.

Changing the Server Description

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab.
Locate the Server Description field and enter your desired description.
Click Save and Start your server.

Your server will now display the new description in the server browser.

Your Rust server now has a custom description. Players will see this information when viewing your server in the browser.
