Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) is Rust's built-in anti-cheat system that prevents players from using cheats and hacks. By default, EAC is enabled on all Rust servers.
Disabling EAC on a public server will allow cheaters to join freely. Only disable EAC on private servers with trusted players.
Enabling or Disabling EAC
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Rust server.
- Stop your server if it's currently running.

- Click the Settings tab.

- Locate the Easy Anti-Cheat toggle.

- Toggle EAC on or off as desired.
- Click Save then start your server.
When to Disable EAC
There are a few reasons you might want to disable EAC:
| Reason | Description |
|---|---|
| Development/Testing | Testing mods or plugins that conflict with EAC |
| Private Servers | Trusted friend groups who don't need anti-cheat |
| Linux Clients | Some Linux players have issues with EAC |
EAC and Modding
EAC is compatible with uMod (Oxide) plugins. You don't need to disable EAC to use server-side plugins.
Some client-side mods may require EAC to be disabled. Always verify whether a mod needs EAC disabled before installing it.
Easy Anti-Cheat is now configured on your server. Your settings will take effect after the server restarts.
