Once your Rust server is running, you can connect to it using the in-game console. You'll need your server address to join.
Finding Your Server Address
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Rust server.
- Find the Server Address in the sidebar on the left side of the panel.

Your server address includes both the IP and port (e.g., 123.456.78.90:28015). You'll need the full address including the port to connect.
Connecting to Your Server
- On the Rust main menu press F1 to open the console.

- Type
client.connectfollowed by your server address.
client.connect 123.456.78.90:28015
- Press Enter to connect.
If your server has a password, you'll be prompted to enter it before joining.
Troubleshooting
If you can't connect to your server:
- Check the server is running - Make sure your server shows as "Online" in the control panel
- Verify the address - Ensure you're using the complete server address including the port number
- Check the password - Make sure you're entering the correct password if prompted
- Wait for startup - New servers may take a few minutes to fully start before accepting connections
You're now connected to your Rust server. You can use the same client.connect command to rejoin at any time.
