How to Set Up RCON on Your Rust Server

Learn how to configure RCON and connect to your Rust server remotely using RustAdmin.

RCON (Remote Console) allows you to manage your Rust server remotely without needing to be in-game. You can run commands, manage players, and monitor your server using tools like RustAdmin.

Keep your RCON password secure. Anyone with your RCON credentials has full admin access to your server.

Finding Your RCON Credentials

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your Rust server.
  2. Click Ports in the sidebar to find your RCON Port. Finding the RCON port in the Wabbanode panel

  5. Click Save.

Connecting with RustAdmin

  1. Download and install RustAdmin.
  2. Open RustAdmin and click Configuration then locate the Server section. Adding a server in RustAdmin
  3. Enter your server details:
    • IP Address: Your server IP (from the panel sidebar)
    • RCON Port: The port from the Ports section
    • RCON Password: The password you set in Settings Entering server details in RustAdmin
  4. Click Save and then Connect.

Once connected, you can run console commands, view players, and manage your server remotely.

RCON is now configured on your Rust server. You can use RustAdmin or other RCON clients to manage your server remotely.
