How to Enable Automatic Updates on Your Satisfactory Server

Keep your server automatically updated with the latest version.

Automatic Updates keeps your Satisfactory server running the latest version. When enabled, the server automatically downloads and installs updates when they become available.

Enabling Automatic Updates

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Wabbanode control panel with stop button

  4. Click Save and Start your server.

How Automatic Updates Work

When enabled:

  • The server checks for updates on startup
  • Updates are downloaded and installed automatically
  • No manual intervention required

When to Disable Automatic Updates

You may want to disable automatic updates if:

  • You need to maintain a specific version for compatibility
  • You want to review patch notes before updating
  • You're using mods that may break with updates

Even with automatic updates enabled, players should ensure their game clients are also updated to match the server version.

Version Compatibility

All players must run the same version as the server. If the server updates:

  • Players on older versions will be unable to connect
  • Players need to update their game client through Steam or Epic Games
