Steam beta branches allow you to run specific versions of Satisfactory, including pre-release builds or older versions. This is useful for testing or maintaining compatibility with specific game versions.
Different branches may have incompatible save files. Always backup your saves before switching branches.
Configuring Steam Beta Branch
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Satisfactory Server Settings.

- Locate the Steam Beta Branch field and enter the branch name (or leave empty for stable).

- Click Save and Start your server.
Common Branch Values
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| (empty) | Stable release (default, recommended) |
experimental | Experimental branch with latest features |
public | Public stable branch |
For Experimental mode, it's recommended to use the dedicated Experimental setting instead of the Steam Beta Branch field.
Matching Client Branches
Players connecting to your server must run the same branch:
Setting Client Branch (Steam)
- Right-click Satisfactory in your Steam library.
- Select Properties > Betas.
- Choose the matching branch from the dropdown.
- Wait for the update to complete.
When to Use Beta Branches
- Testing: Try new features before they go stable
- Compatibility: Match a specific version for mod compatibility
- Rollback: Temporarily run an older version if needed
Steam beta branch is configured. Your server will run the specified version of Satisfactory.
