Sons of the ForestSons of the Forest supports up to 8 players on a dedicated server. By default, the server is set to 4 players, but you can increase or decrease this limit based on your needs.
Changing the Max Players
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
- Click the Settings tab and select Sons of The Forest Server Settings.
- Locate Max Players and enter your desired player count.
- Click Save and Start your server.
Player Count Recommendations

| 5-6 | Medium groups, balanced resource competition |
| 7-8 | Large communities, more chaotic gameplay |
Considerations
- More players means faster resource depletion
- Enemy difficulty may increase with more players
- Larger groups can build bases faster but need better coordination
- Consider your server's performance when increasing player count
