Sons of the Forest servers have separate framerate settings for when players are connected (active) and when the server is empty (idle). Adjusting these settings can help optimize server performance and resource usage.
Lower idle framerate helps conserve server resources when no players are online, but ensure it's high enough to maintain server stability.
Changing the Target Framerate
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.

- Click the Settings tab and select Sons of The Forest Game Settings.

- Locate Active Target Framerate and enter your desired FPS when players are connected (default 60).
- Locate Idle Target Framerate and enter your desired FPS when no players are connected.

- Click Save and Start your server.
