How to Set a Server Password on Your Sons of the Forest Server

Protect your Sons of the Forest server with a password to restrict access.

Setting a server password restricts access to only players who know the password. This is useful for private servers where you only want specific friends or community members to join.

Setting a Server Password

Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server.
Click the Settings tab and select Sons of The Forest Server Settings.
Locate Server Password and enter your desired password.
Click Save and Start your server.

Removing the Password

To make your server public again, simply clear the password field and leave it empty, then save and restart your server.

Password Guidelines

Passwords can be up to 40 characters long
Share the password only with trusted players
Avoid using easily guessable passwords
Consider changing the password periodically for security
