How to Enable or Disable Cheats on Your The Forest Server

Allow or restrict players from using the developer console on your The Forest server.

The Allow Cheats setting controls whether players can access the developer console to use cheat commands on your server.

Even with cheats disabled, server admins can still use admin commands in chat (like /kick and /ban). This setting only affects the developer console.

Enabling or Disabling Cheats

  1. Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and Stop your server. Wabbanode control panel with stop button

  4. Click Save and Start your server.

How Cheats Work

When cheats are enabled, players can:

  1. Type developermodeon on the main menu (before joining)
  2. Join the server
  3. Press F1 to open the developer console
  4. Enter cheat commands
