BeamMP is a multiplayer mod for BeamNG.drive that lets you drive and crash vehicles with friends online. This guide covers how to connect to your dedicated server.
Private servers do not appear in the public server browser. Players will need to connect via direct IP address.
Finding Your Server Address
To connect via direct IP, you'll need your server's address and port.
- Navigate to the Wabbanode Control Panel and select your BeamMP server.
- Find the Server Address in the sidebar on the left side of the panel.

Your server address includes both the IP and port (e.g., 123.456.78.90:30814). The default port for BeamMP is 30814.
Connecting to Your Server
Using the Server Browser
- Launch BeamMP (not BeamNG.drive directly).
- From the main menu, click Multiplayer.
- Browse the server list or use the search bar to find your server by name.
- Click on your server and then Connect.
Using Direct Connect
- Launch BeamMP from the main menu.
- Click Multiplayer, then select Direct Connect.
- Enter your server's IP address and port in the format
IP:Port. - Click Connect to join the server.
After Connecting
Once connected to the server:
- You'll spawn in the default location for the map.
- Press Esc to access the vehicle selector and spawn a car.
- Other players will appear in real-time with synchronized physics.
Vehicle mods installed on the server will automatically download when you connect. This may take a moment depending on the number and size of mods.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Cannot find server in browser | Server may be set to private (use direct connect) or still starting up |
| Connection refused | Verify the server is running and the IP/port are correct |
| Missing AuthKey error | Server owner needs to configure their Auth Key in the control panel |
| Mods not loading | Wait for auto-download to complete, or verify Resources/Client folder has mods |
You're now connected to your BeamMP server. Enjoy realistic vehicle physics and crashes with friends!
