If you're switching to a modpack from any other server type (such as Vanilla Minecraft) or switching from one modpack to a different modpack, it's highly recommended to reset your server. While we include this in our automatic modpack installer, it's recommended to take a backup beforehand.
If you don't want to use Wabbanode's modpack installer you can also install a modpack easily with our Server Type Installer and FileZilla for SFTP
Automatic Modpack Installation
We have a guide that shows you how to install any Minecraft modpack or server type here, which is recommended for most users.
Manual Modpack Installation
In this example, we will be showing you how to install the All the Mods 10 modpack by ATMTeam by hand.
- Navigate to the CurseForge Modpack and identify whether it's running NeoForge or Minecraft Forge.
- All the Mods 10 (v4.0) is running NeoForge 21.1.180 on Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Download the server files for the version you wish to install.
- Using our Server Type installer, install NeoForge, wiping the server beforehand and choosing the right version for your modpack.
- Using FileZilla for SFTP, access your server files.
- Upload your extracted server files into your server directory, making sure to include any relevant config files and mods.
- Once your upload has finished, Start your server.
By following these steps, you should now have All the Mods 10 (or your modpack of choice) installed within just a few minutes. No need to mess around with startup arguments, scripts or custom JAR files, as we will detect the best way to start up your server without needing manual configuration.
